Hey shoppers! There’s less than a week left of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so that means you have until August 5th to shop some great fall pieces (or your every day basics) before prices go back up August 6th. This is a great time to get some large ticket items like coats, boots, and handbags. If you aren’t looking for big pieces you could even use it as a chance to update your workout clothes or grab a great bra with the markdowns being so good.
This time around I wasn’t searching for any fall staples so I just made a list of a few things I needed beforehand like a new pair of runners. Here’s a look at what I actually bought at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Look 1: Jammies
Nordstrom Lingerie Moonlight Pajamas – I needed a cozy new pajama set and fell in love with this pair immediately. They are SO soft and SO stretchy. I like the neutral colour because I won’t get sick of them unlike a print. They also came in shorts/short sleeve version. (Wearing a size small for reference. I probably could have bought a XS but I hate it when my pajama bottoms shrink in length.)
Look 2: Casual Top
BP Raw Edge Scoop Neck Tee – I LOVE stripes! I didn’t have a casual striped long sleeve shirt so I wanted to get this one because it’s great with casual jackets, sweaters, and vests for winter.
Socialite Tie Waist T-Shirt Dress – I wanted a casual t-shirt dress for a while now so I had to scoop this one up when I saw it was under $50. It’s hard to tell from the picture but it ties in a knot at the front by my hips. I love that I can wear it for the summer and into fall. The sales associate helping me suggested I could wear it with jeans or leggings and boots in the colder months, and I love that idea! (Wearing a size XS for reference.)
Look 4: Camo Leggings
Spanx Camo Faux Leather Leggings – I had never tried Spanx leggings until now and I have no idea how I’ve gone this long without but they’re truly the BEST! They are structured so they hold you in and smooth you out in all the right places. When you bend over they aren’t see-through unlike other brands. They come in some really great styles too. (Wearing a size small for reference and they fit snug.)
Free TR8 Training Running Shoe – These Nike runners are extremely comfortable and supportive. This is my first pair with no tongue but I like how stretchy they are and they slip-on with ease. I love neutral sneaks because you can wear them with casual clothes and still look put together. (Wearing a size 7.5. I probably could have bought a size 7 but I was on the fence. They aren’t as narrow as my other black pair.)
Not pictured: A couple items I had to go back for…
- Cubic Zirconia Earrings – These earrings are a great classic to have in your accessories drawer. If you don’t like to travel with real diamonds than these are a great option to have on hand and swap out so you don’t lose your expensive earrings. I like to go with a realistic size cubic zirconia because you don’t want them to look cheap and fake. These earrings also make for the perfect gift for the lady in your life!!
- Men`s Paige Denim – Federal Slim Straight Leg Jeans – Picked these jeans up for my husband. They are buttery soft and are a bit more fitted than his usual pair of Fidelity’s.
So that’s the round up! Also, don’t panic if something is out of stock or you can’t get it in your size because there’s always restock and lots of returns. You could always buy it in a different size now to secure the sale price and then exchange it for the right size once the sale is over and more stock is back in. And…there will ALWAYS be another sale.
Let me know if you shopped the sale and what you got. I love hearing recommendations too or things I might have missed.
