If you’re looking for good shopping in Calgary, I’ve got just the spot. Today I’m sharing with you a chic shopping district located in the southwest of Calgary and about 12min from downtown, called Britannia Plaza. Just recently I took the boys with me on one of our little shopping excursions to check off some errands on our to-do list.
It’s always nice to get outside and shop and avoid the business of the mall so a plaza like this is a refreshing change. Britannia Plaza has a little something for everyone and carries a wide selection of stores owned by local entrepreneurs in the areas of:
- Fashion & Lifestyle
- Beauty & Health, Professional Services
- Kitchen, Home & Books
- Wine, Food & Dining
One of the things I love about this plaza, other than the upscale shops, is the free and easy access parking. It makes it so convenient to unload the boys and hit the stores right away. AND, it makes it easy for a quick escape if there is a toddler meltdown. 😉
Britannia Plaza is a favourite of mine with its trendy curb appeal and selection of kitchen, home, and food establishments. Yum! You can dine in or do take-out, sit in the local coffee shops, pop into the gourmet grocery store, grab ice cream and more.
We have a lot of birthdays to celebrate in our family during the month of September so we picked out some gifts at the local bookstore. There’s just something so charming about an independent bookstore and their unique selection of books, stationery, toys, and gift wrap.
It’s safe to say that the boys are definitely my partners in crime when it comes to shopping! I usually take them on all my adventures which means I can’t go anywhere that doesn’t have ice cream as a tasty treat to wrap up the day.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor in Calgary, Britannia Plaza is a must-do so add it to your list and pop on over to see what treasures you can find.
