Christmas Gifts for the Littles

Today’s blog post is my third gift guide of the season – Christmas Gifts for the Littles. It’s been a while since I’ve done a post on gift ideas for children so I thought now would be perfect timing as lots of shops are launching early Black Friday deals.

This gift guide is a combination of items Luke and Charlie have and LOVE! I’ve put a little * beside so that you know they come recommended. Plus I have a few other great finds I just had to share.

1. Animals // 2. Splashtime Bath Set* // 3. Magformers* // 4. Sunglasses* // 5. Bomber Jacket // 6. Book* // 7. Non-Toxic Nail Polish // 8. Duffle Bag* // 9. Ice Cream Set* // 10. Wireless Headphones* or here // 11. Leggings* // 12. Roller Coaster*

Product Review & Description:

Let the imagination run wild with these jungle animals! They’re on the larger size and make a good gift for a toddler or preschooler.

The Beautycounter Splastime Bath Set is the perfect gift for friends or family. It comes with a jumbo body wash + shampoo + hooded towel in a pretty ivory box. They’re huge bottles and will easily last you about 10+ months with two kids. Both formulas are nourishing and gently cleanses the skin without drying or irritating the skin. No artificial fragrance. My boys don’t like using anything else.

Magformers the gift that keeps on giving! It comes with 110 pieces so this is definitely the best value that I can find. So fun to create different shapes!

Sunglasses the boys love their stylish and comfortable Babiators. They come in lots of different styles and colours to choose from. So important to protect their eyes, especially in sunny Calgary!

I saw these gorgeous Bomber Jackets made by Young Fam at the Common Threads Market back in October here in YYC. They’re so beautifully made and perfect for boys and girls! They come in two neutral colours, they’re 100% cotton, great for layering and mixing and matching with other pieces in your child’s wardrobe. They’re on my wish list for the boys this year for sure. Check out their story.

Book the sweetest little message about self-care, acceptance, and how to behave with others, plus adorable illustrations. Definitely a bedtime favourite!

I’ve heard lots of great things about this Non-Toxic Nail Polish! It’s free from formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, Bisphenol A, ethyl acetate and acetone. Perfect stocking stuffer for your little girl.

The boys love their monogrammed rolling Duffle Bags! My Mum bought one each for the boys first Christmas and now they have fun rolling them on little overnight trips or through the airport. It’s nice that you can have their name embroidered and select a fun colour for each child.

Melissa & Doug always makes quality toys and this Ice Cream Set is sure to provide lots of entertainment and imagination for the whole family.

When we started traveling young with our kids I wanted to find Wireless Headphones that provided an appropriate and safe sound volume (85 dB). These are BY FAR the best on the market. Charlie just got his own pair too. But poke around Amazon to find the best price.

Simply Love YYC is one of my favourite local children’s clothing shop! I especially love the leggings because Ann makes them extra long (so you can always cuff them) and she offers the best prints. She also carries other designs like Mommy & Me Matching Peplum Tops! Check out her story.

This Roller Coaster is always a hit at our house, especially during playdates and parties! Kids will be fighting to take turns over this one.
